The Jesus placeJesus Christ (pictured below) stepped off his heavenly throne and came down to earth to die on the cross for the sins of the world. Thankfully Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Through this sacrificial act us as humans are able to have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior

WHAT'S UP EVERYONE!!!!!!

Hey guys 40 days is officially over and I am free to get back on the computer.  If you don't already know for the past 40 days I have fasted myself from the computer in order to really awaken a new sense of hunger for God.  I really truly feel that it accomplished what it was meant to.  Things are not totally the same though.  I am no longer using AIM to communicate with people.  I realized that the people I talk to on it, I can just talk to them at school.  And ok, maybe I talked about God once or twice but I feel I was using that as an excuse to not share my faith in a one on one setting.  That's all I have for right now.  Please comment and ill get a lesson up here soon.

Once Upon a Shattered Life

Ok guys,

This past weekend i was in Leitchfield, KY to go to the infamous NEWSONG!!!!!!!

Man was it awesome.  There aren't words to really explain it.  The Lord was at work big time this past weekend.

Friday afternoon and night: Ok, so Derek Riley, Nathan Riley, Zach Doughtery, his sister, Me, and Aaron Wallace head up to Leitchfield in the Riley's suburban.  We got delayed at the beginning so we got there about halfway through Falling Up which i was mad about because Falling Up totally rocks my socks.  As we're slowing down to our parking spot Nathan and I bolt out of the car and run over to the stage to rock out the the Oregon boys (Falling Up).  We get over there and man the crowd was dead, Falling Up is pretty hardcore so it was weird to see the crowd dead.  After that Kutless came out and totally rocked out.  i had no idea how punk they are.  If you're like me and hadn't ever seen them in concert man are you in for a surprise, they rocked out so hard.  It was crazy, they got the crowd pumping.  About halfway through Kutless, Nathan and I headed over to the merch tent to get autographs from Falling Up.  We had to wait in line for like 2 minutes and then we get up to the table and tell them how much they rocked out.  After that we headed back over to Kutless and finished watching them rock out.  After the pandemonium slowed down Casting Crowns came up and i don't even have to say what they did.  Of course, they rocked out.  They played my favorite song "Lifesong."  That song is about how people only think that worship is done in song, when your singing.  This, however is not true worship is our daily lives.  Our regular lives should worship our Lord and Savior.  Our life is the song.  Our life is worship. After that song, Riley and i headed over to get Kutless's auto's and tell them how much they rocked out.  After Casting crowns was over we headed over to get the auto's and were standing in line when Zach told us that we had to be back to the hotel by 11:30.  We then proceded to leave our posters with Frankie Booth and Will Pope, yes his last name is pope, to get signed.  When we got back to the hotel we found out that we had nonsmoking rooms but some1 had smoked a buttload recently so our room smelled really bad.  We sprayed so much axe and oldspice in that room, lol.  After goofing around and watching some Family Guy, we tried to settle 5 guys into a room that fits 2 at the most.  That was an experience.  That about ends that night.

After getting a decent nights rest we woke up and headed over to the infamous Huddle House of Leitchfield Ky.  After eating a huge delicious waffle we headed back to Newsong.  We got there as Jeff Calhoun was ending.  We just chilled at the merch tent while everlife was playing because we didn't know that much about them.  While we were in the merch tent we saw the guys from The Afters and we got to talk to them for a bit.  Also i got to talk to John Reuben for about 20 min.  We talked about how he's going on tour with Falling Up in the fall and their stopping in Nashville so i'm prob. going to check that out.  After that we found out that it seemed like seventh day slumber was a no show so The Afters took their spot on the main stage.  We watched them for a little while when we saw Seventh Day Slumber pull up, it turns out their bus was late so that's why they were late.  We chilled up there for a bit.  Then Riley and i headed up to the second stage to see Justin Brandt who was working sound.  While we were talking to him we heard a big roar and we figured out that it was John Reuben coming on.  Nate and i then ran back to rock out to the Reubenmister.  After Reuben we anxiously waited for the one, the only Sanctus Real.  This was one of the main reasons i wanted to come.  When they started, Aaron, Riley and i started rocking up.  Totaly rockage.  During it the lead singer threw out a bottle of water and Aaron caught it.  When the lead singer came down into the grass i got to touch his hand, lol.  We then proceeded to head over to get their auto's.  After Sanctus Real, we went up to the second stage to see Seventh Day Slumber.  Before the concert we talked to the lead singer for a bit he was really cool.  Halfway through the concert Aaron got his camera so we headed back to get pics with Sanctus Real.  We got there and they were packing up so we went over to the guitarist and asked if the rest of the band was here for pics and he said yea just help me with the rest of this stuff and we'll be over there with them.  So we got the help them take their stuff to their trailer. After that we got to talk with them and get our picture with them which was really cool.  Then we headed back to Seventh Day and man was the spirit moving.  There was a reason they were late.  I can't explain how moving it was.  The guys testimony was amazing.  God can do anything.  After Seventh Day we ran back down and moshed to Jeremy Camp which was awesome.  Then Audio A rocked out to an extreme.  It was amazing.  Thats about it.  Newsong rocked out.

God bless everyone

Hey guys,

On this post i'm not going to do much talking.  i'm simply going to mostly let scripture speak for itself and let the Holy Spirit move through the people that read this.  Please read through the whole thing though.  Also i really appreciate comments guys.

Many people these days don't fear the Lord, they say the love him but i feel a part of loving is fearing what they can do.  God is the same way.

Warning of Coming Destruction

2 "I will sweep away everything
from the face of the earth,"
       declares the LORD.

    3 "I will sweep away both men and animals;
I will sweep away the birds of the air
and the fish of the sea.
The wicked will have only heaps of rubble [a]
when I cut off man from the face of the earth,"
       declares the LORD.

Against Judah

4 "I will stretch out my hand against Judah
and against all who live in Jerusalem.
I will cut off from this place every remnant of Baal,
the names of the pagan and the idolatrous priests-

5 those who bow down on the roofs
       to worship the starry host,
those who bow down and swear by the LORD
and who also swear by Molech, [b]

6 those who turn back from following the LORD
and neither seek the LORD nor inquire of him.

7 Be silent before the Sovereign LORD,
for the day of the LORD is near.
       The LORD has prepared a sacrifice;
he has consecrated those he has invited.

8 On the day of the LORD's sacrifice
       I will punish the princes
       and the king's sons
       and all those clad
       in foreign clothes.

9 On that day I will punish
all who avoid stepping on the threshold, [c]
who fill the temple of their gods
       with violence and deceit.

10 "On that day," declares the LORD,
"a cry will go up from the Fish Gate,
       wailing from the New Quarter,
and a loud crash from the hills.

    11 Wail, you who live in the market district [d] ;
all your merchants will be wiped out,
all who trade with [e] silver will be ruined.

12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps
and punish those who are complacent,
who are like wine left on its dregs,
who think, 'The LORD will do nothing,
       either good or bad.'

13 Their wealth will be plundered,
       their houses demolished.
       They will build houses
       but not live in them;
       they will plant vineyards
       but not drink the wine.

The Great Day of the Lord

14 "The great day of the LORD is near—
       near and coming quickly.
Listen! The cry on the day of the LORD will be bitter,
the shouting of the warrior there.

15 That day will be a day of wrath,
a day of distress and anguish,
a day of trouble and ruin,
a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and blackness,

16 a day of trumpet and battle cry
       against the fortified cities
       and against the corner towers.

17 I will bring distress on the people
and they will walk like blind men,
because they have sinned against the LORD.
Their blood will be poured out like dust
       and their entrails like filth.

18 Neither their silver nor their gold
will be able to save them
on the day of the LORD's wrath.
In the fire of his jealousy
the whole world will be consumed,
for he will make a sudden end
of all who live in the earth."   Zephaniah 1:2-18

Now if that doesn't scare you then well i dont know someone needs to slap you.  Let's look at another situation that should strike some fear into our hearts.  This one will be a little more familiar.

23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. 26 But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.  Genesis 19:23-26

These are two great examples of how great The Lord's power is and just why we should fear him.  There's nothing in the Bible that says that God can't do the exact same thing today if he wanted to.  This is why we should fear the Lord, first because we can experience a totally new kind of love towards our Lord and Savior because as i stated before true love comes with fear of what the person can do to you.  Secondly we are blessed because of it....

12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD ?
He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.

13 He will spend his days in prosperity,
and his descendants will inherit the land.

    14 The LORD confides in those who fear him;
he makes his covenant known to them.

By fearing The Lord we are doubly blessed by having a more intimate love for Him and He confides in us.  He's able to use us even more when we fear what He can do.

Doesn't His majesty terrify you?

Doesn't your fear of Him overwhelm you?  Job 13:11

Just a note on the side, i've been reading Chris Tomlin's book lately and he makes an interesting point.  If we take the word 'awesome' back to ancient hebrew and greek it literally translates into the word terrifying.  Whenever we say something is awesome we are basically saying that it's also terrifying.  From now on i'm going to use that word only for our Lord and Savior.  Also that word has a new meaning to me so please guys hold me accountable to this.  Also i'm trying to stop capitalizing the letter i when i'm talking about myself because that's just bringing glory to my name when i don't deserve any of it.  All for Him who sent His son!!!!

God bless everyone

Hey guys,

I can't remember where I heard this analogy but it has really stuck in my mind.  Please really think about what this is saying and please pray about this in your life.

As your walking across the road one day you fall and lets say break your leg to the point where you can't move.  Next thing you know you see a large truck coming and it doesn't seem to be slowing down.  You look over and as the truck is nearing you someone jumps out into the road picks you up and as he places you on the side of the road he tells you to do one thing for him.  After he says that he lays down in the road in your place.  Turn out the truck driver has been blinded by the sun and doesn't see the guy in your place so he runs over him and kills him.  My one question to you is, Will you do what ever that guys last wish was when he placed you on the ground?  If it were me then yea of course I would, he died for me.

You see guys, Jesus Christ came down onto this earth and took on your sins so you could be forgiven for them.  Jesus Christ saved us from condemnation to hell is we accept his as our Lord and Savior.  We can choose to be the guy in the analogy and accept him or we can refuse to accept his sacrifice and get run over by the truck.  The main analogy I want to hit at though is, Jesus Christ told us to do one thing before he died and that was to live for him.  He died for you, will you live for him?

In Christ
